All my life, everything I have wanted to know I have been able to learn about through books.  It started when I was four years old. My family lived on a military base, and, my mom dragged all five of us kids with her to the post library because she couldn’t get a babysitter. I remember pulling books off of the shelves that were on a level with the floor because those were the books I could reach. 

As the years passed, my book collection grew.  Mostly fiction starting with four years of

books that I bought when I was an undergraduate student. Cook books, gardening books,

poetry, mystery novels. 

Mid-way through my career in the direct sale network marketing industry, as I realized

the importance of working on myself, I began buying self-development books, books on

leadership, and books written by industry trainers and acknowledged experts in sales and marketing. 

One of my industry coaches, Jillian Middleton, started her six month coaching program with a short list of recommended books. Her suggestion was that we be well-rounded and read books not just specific to network marketing.

Here then, in no particular order, is a list of my favorite books – books that literally did change my life or had a profound impact on any one of the several businesses I’ve developed.  Please note that there are books on a wide variety of topics – I believe it’s important to be balanced in your life. It’s not all work. It’s not all play. It is always about too many books, and not enough time!
