Home is where the heart is and home is where I shop!
When you drop in or call for an appointment, please let them know that you saw their ad on MrsBizWhiz.com and you read their raving fan testimony here. Ready to meet them? Read on!
It’s true that the Towpath Café is the networking hub in the village of Fairport. Happily for those of us who frequent this warm, inviting café, the coffee is brewed to perfection, the panini’s and wraps are simply excellent, and the soups (in season) are rich and hearty or smoothly spiced.
Just across the street is my heart’s delight: MBBooktique. If you’re a fashion diva and a book lover too, stop in often. The owner’s discerning eye for emerging trends in purses & bags, elegant or funky jewelry and, more recently, a collection of high-end clothing with modest price tags has made this book boutique the destination shop savvy women frequent.
Finally! After years of lamenting not having a small grocery store in the village of Fairport, we’re truly blessed to have the Red Bird Market. I absolutely must have the organic lettuce and, when the owner started offering “take out” from Joey B’s, a little bit of heaven entered my world. Check out the web site for up-dated store hours.
I’ve known Ted McArthur, DC since he opened the door to his chiropractic practice. It’s exciting to watch as he incorporates cutting edge (and safe) technology to eliminate frustrating allergies as a key component to the alternative care he offers. Ted is exceptionally knowledgeable about the ‘body chiropractic’, holistic methodologies and he has a delightful, compassionate and inquisitive demeanor. I love to refer people to him.
I discovered the therapeutic benefits of massage many years ago. One of my friends kept singing the praises of Fletcher Matthes, LMT with Full Circle Massage & Wellness until my curiosity (and the twinges from an old shoulder injury) made me seek him out. Matthes is THE best massage therapist I have ever been to in my ten-plus years of massage.
Mosey on up to Gift Ferrys in the historic Railroad District of the village and feast your eyes on all wonderful collectibles, local Artisan Works, home décor, Polish Pottery and more. Keep your eye open for the flying pigs (smile) and the Naked Bee personal care products.
If I’m not shopping the village of Fairport, I’m shopping in places that friends of mine have raved about. Two such stores just happen to be located across from each other on South Main Street in the village of Pittsford.
If you want that Wow-factor, that OMG – who does your hair? factor, you absolutely have to book an appointment with Cathy Bracht, the owner of Make Waves Salon. She is a master, a genius extra-ordinary. Long before “green” was the buzz word, she was using naturally organic hair color products. So, you get the best of the best: Cathy’s artistic skills backed by superior products.
The newcomer to Pittsford, Jackson & Hines has raised the bar for bringing stellar products to market backed by superior customer service. Simply put: I have been purchasing and relishing the Dr Hauschka line of holistic skin care products for just over two months. I am over the moon with delight at the results I’m experiencing combined with the attentive care and follow up I’m receiving from the owners of this elegant shop. Run, don’t walk to Jackson & Hines to be pampered and celebrated.
Steadfast. Competent. Experienced. These three words describe the foundation principles of character that Paula Rogala brings to the table in her role as financial advisor. She was invited to join the firm of Waddell & Reed quite recently which I believe speaks volumes for how she’s regarded by her peers. I encourage you to schedule a time to meet with Paula for wherever you are in creating or making changes in your financial portfolio.
Rebecca Havard does take my breath away. I am so excited to be the very first person in the USA to publically celebrate and endorse her new business: www.becauseofyoudvd.com . I sit in front of my computer screen and watch her magical dvd memory shows and cry with bittersweet emotions. She is a master at creating online memories with the best music backgrounds. God has blessed her with a gift and, He’s blessed my life because I call her my friend.
Last, but never least, is Rudin Designs Wearable Art And Custom Jewelry. One of my good friends introduced me to Mindy Rudin and I instantly fell in love with her jewelry. Daring, one-of-a-kind pieces that reflect amazing creativity. Don’t forget to check out Rudin’s line of Zorbz if you crave a bit of whimsy.
There you have it. These are just a few of my friends and business associates. I love to support each and every one of them because they provide exceptional products and services - they always stretch to give exceptional customer service and, they all make me smile....and they are my friends. I can't wait for you to meet them. |
